Carver Step Challenge

It was Mental Health Awareness week in May and members of our team took part in a Step Challenge! Logging our steps for the day, all participants made a donation and were in with the chance of winning an extra half day holiday!

The competition was fierce and everyone involved took it quite seriously! While the main goal may seemed to have been to rack up as many steps as possible, it was really to make us move more – to take a break at lunchtime and stretch those legs, and clear the mind. Our colleagues took this time to go for a walk around their branch town at lunchtime, or walk to work where possible, walking the dog, taking a stroll out on their days off, and encouraging the kids to come out for an evening stroll to get those steps up!

Well done to all involved, and congratulations to Amy Stephens who totalled over whopping 106,000 steps over the 5 days.

As well as raising awareness of moving for mental health, we also raised £48 for charity. Well done everyone!
